El Migos: Sutera Mall

One day, Mr S-I.C and I were talking and chatting like usual, when out of the sudden he mentioned about ‘fondue’. I’m not sure how the ‘fondue’ subject submerge, but minutes later both of us are keen to have a try of it :)

My idea of fondue involves dipping fruits, biscuits or crackers in a pool of hot melting chocolate. However, later I learnt that fondue can either be in a form of melted cheese, chocolates and oil. Since El Migos offered fondue in its menu, so both of us decided to give it a try. We ordered cheese fondue.

The hot melted cheese waiting to be dipped with pieces of fresh celeries, carrots, toasted crunchy bread and fish. (Note: The actual menu was chicken, but we asked for fish).

The cheese fondue was not that bad. Mr S-I-C loves cheese, so he likes it a lot.  In my opinion, this dish is not meant to be the main course but more to finger food. Since both of us didn’t have our lunch and eating fondue was not satisfying enough, we ordered other dishes as well. I ordered battered fish while Mr S-I-C ordered breaded fish. These dishes were served with chips and fresh garden salad.

Warm & Cosy

El Migos restaurant has a nice decoration and ambiance related to 'Mexico'. Personally, I have no idea what Mexican environment should look like, but the deco was quite nice and cosy with warm colours dominating the restaurant. The background music of 70s – 80s love songs adds a plus point for this restaurant though the food was just on the ‘OK’ level  =)

I think you will enjoy eating fondue with your loved ones or close friends as the dish is served in a plate where you have to share it with others. It will be an excellent dish during small social gatherings or for couples. The fondue costs about RM29.90 without the 10% service charge.
