Macaron: JP Perdana

When I first saw macarons, it reminded me of soft tiny colourful clouds. It was such a pretty sight that I craved for it ever since. I even managed to drag Mr S.I.C along the ‘journey’ of hunting for macarons in JB :)
Isn't it pretty? :)

We ended up with a box of macarons of different flavours (peanut butter, milo & strawberry). You can order it from Sweet N Delights and choose the available flavours offered.

Our box of macarons was similar like this one. 12 pieces cost RM 25.

I’m not a sweet-tooth person, so I can’t eat more than two macarons at a time. It is sweet and has soft texture when you take a bite. Those who love anything sweets would enjoy it. But I love it nonetheless and so does Mr S.I.C. Pretty, sweet & classy in one bite  =)

House of Chicken Rice: Bandar Baru Uda

Sekilas pandang menu tersebut kami terus teringatkan restoran makanan segera terkenal yakni The Chicken Rice Shop.

Tudiaa nasi ayam kami dah sampai.

One day, Mr S-I.C and I were talking and chatting like usual, when out of the sudden he mentioned about ‘fondue’. I’m not sure how the ‘fondue’ subject submerge, but minutes later both of us are keen to have a try of it :)

My idea of fondue involves dipping fruits, biscuits or crackers in a pool of hot melting chocolate. However, later I learnt that fondue can either be in a form of melted cheese, chocolates and oil. Since El Migos offered fondue in its menu, so both of us decided to give it a try. We ordered cheese fondue.

Front view of the El Migos Mexican Pizzadillas :)

The hot melted cheese waiting to be dipped with pieces of fresh celeries, carrots, toasted crunchy bread and fish. (Note: The actual menu was chicken, but we asked for fish).

Cheese Fondue

The cheese fondue was not that bad. Mr S-I-C loves cheese, so he likes it a lot.  In my opinion, this dish is not meant to be the main course but more to finger food. Since both of us didn’t have our lunch and eating fondue was not satisfying enough, we ordered other dishes as well. I ordered battered fish while Mr S-I-C ordered breaded fish. These dishes were served with chips and fresh garden salad.

Battered Fish & Chips

Warm & Cosy

El Migos restaurant has a nice decoration and ambiance related to 'Mexico'. Personally, I have no idea what Mexican environment should look like, but the deco was quite nice and cosy with warm colours dominating the restaurant. The background music of 70s – 80s love songs adds a plus point for this restaurant though the food was just on the ‘OK’ level  =)

I think you will enjoy eating fondue with your loved ones or close friends as the dish is served in a plate where you have to share it with others. It will be an excellent dish during small social gatherings or for couples. The fondue costs about RM29.90 without the 10% service charge.

JDM Mee Bandung: Kampung Pasir

This place has always been one of my favourites. It is located in Kampung Pasir, not too far away from Plaza Angsana. Even though there are other selections in the menu, I usually ordered the same thing each time. It’s either ‘mi bandung’ or ‘mi goreng basah’. As the name of the place suggests, those who eat here should order ‘mi bandung’ :) (refer pic below) :

Do not be fooled when you read the signboard. It is not open 24 hours. Both of us are not sure at what time it opens, but you have to come at night during weekdays or you'll end up disappointed.

Mr S-I-C and I ordered the same dish - Mi goreng basah which cost about RM3.50 per plate =)

                                                                            Before

                                                                             After

The verdict : We LOVE the taste. The fried noodles are simple yet tasty, not too overwhelming with flavours and the quantity is just nice.

Warning : If you are a BIG eater with a BIG appetite, you should order two plates instead of one =)

Romance Delicacy: KSL City Mall

At least cuba dulu.
